During my journey in Machine Learning and computer science in general, I realized that doing projects is the most efficient way to keep your memory fresh and gain new informations while evolving but, how is that realizable?

I know that determination and self-discipline aren’t that easy, especially when we have the first motivation just a while before diving deep into the details of a project and sticking with it till the finish line.

I’m not a coach nor a specialist in the field of self-development but I’ve experienced a lot of hard times and situations that made me stronger and more disciplined than before.

Let’s discover some steps to follow in order to give yourself a push:

1- Visualize the project-end

No one can deny that among the most efficient ways to get motivated to do something is to visualize it using your imagination.

A nice journey can be made from your place using just your imagination and by a continuous process, even your brain will help you find the optimal path toward your target.

when something is dominating your thinking then, after some time a flash idea will take you directly to the solution.

THE imagination is literally the workshop wherein are fashioned all plans created by man. The impulse, the DESIRE, is given shape, form, and ACTION through the aid of the imaginative faculty of the mind.

It has been said that man can create anything which he can imagine.

I’ve practiced the art of imagination in my projects and realized that I can go far more than I imagine myself.

2- Get motivation from similar successful projects

Now that you are mentally prepared what are you waiting for?

Grab your PC and start searching for similar successful realizations and analyze their faults, and sides of success, and take advantage | motivation of them.

Well, for those who don’t rely upon motivation, those advantages can be in the form of shortcuts, tips, tricks, and even more…

3- Time is your enemy, make it a friend

Whenever I start a new project, I plan for it and this includes having dedicated time.

Have enough time to complete a project but the important thing is to fix this range and push yourself using all your capabilities and face all circumstances so that whenever you feel lazy or don’t have the energy remember why you started and what you plan to do next, this will effectively make you moving further.

I remember when I wasn’t capable to complete a task and suffered from procrastination but realized that it was because of a lack of time management, the issue is now fixable.

4- Choose carefully your friends:

“The coordination of knowledge and effort between two or more people who work towards a definite purpose in a spirit of harmony…no two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind”

Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill

Do you remember the day thinking you were a great person just by being alone and self-reliant? but when you face others, the storm appears!

Well, I will not judge you for being self-reliant or a person who loves loneliness. In fact, I was that person, and even still sometimes. but real life isn’t like that.

Comparing myself to the person I was 2 years ago or more while I’m still working on myself and exploiting my mistakes I can conclude that a project made inside a harmonious group of colleagues will be more successful than you think.

Dividing tasks, distributing roles, and making meetings are all an addition to your personality rather than being alone and googling every problem you face, struggling with your own mind(personal opinion)
